Owl Rescue

As some of you may know we have some resident Barn Owls aka Gavin & Stacey in our Treorchy showroom. Recently one of the owl chicks injured herself when she fell out of the nest box & by a miracle of chance made her way into the showroom.

We contacted the Owl Sanctuary in Ebbw Vale who were more than happy to help & we took the chick over to their rescue that same morning.

Since going the rescue, the owl has visited the vets & is doing really well with some TLC from one of the volunteers and will be released into the wild onto a local farm once she is fully recovered. 

As a thank you for their help we donated a chest freezer to them that they were in desperate need of & whilst there we were really pleased to see the owl chick.
