The leading and award winning local re-use charity toogoodtowaste are thrilled to announce that they will be opening their brand new facility in Treorchy on Monday 10th December at 9am after they successfully secured grants of over £637,000 from the Big Lottery People and Places Fund & Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Fund to renovate the Former Adult Education Centre.

The building has been re- developed to create a large charity showroom, displaying safe, clean and affordable pre-owned items of furniture, electrical, clothing and household items at affordable prices, large workshops, community spaces and a large car park.

They will be open 7 days a week and anyone are welcome to shop with them Monday – Saturday 9am – 5pm, Sundays 10am – 4pm and they also offer an opportunity for late night shopping until 8pm on Thursdays.  They also offer a local delivery service.

Shaun England, Chief Executive said: “We are absolutely delighted to be opening our exciting new facility in Treorchy.  This project will allow us to develop our services in the Rhondda Fawr valley, where the needs of the organisation have been greatly highlighted.

“This iconic building has been developed into a vibrant community facility, combining retail, volunteering, training & essential community space.”
