A 4 star donation that was simply too good to waste

Leading re-use & recycling charity, toogoodtowaste, is delighted that it was recently able to assist the prestigious four-star Vale Resort after it very kindly donated over 400 cushions that were too good to waste.

Due to a refurbishment programme, the Vale Resort had a large quantity of soft furnishings that were in very good condition, but no longer needed and it wanted local residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf to be able to benefit from them. Naturally, toogoodtowaste was more than happy to collect them and be able to offer them through its charity showrooms.

These items are now available for sale in the Ynyshir and Aberdare showrooms alongside many other safe, clean, quality and affordable household and electrical items, all proceeds from the sales go back to helping the local community through offering access to affordable items and providing volunteering and work based learning opportunities.

Shaun England, General Manager at toogoodtowaste, said: “We were absolutely delighted to be the chosen charity to receive the donation of soft furnishings from the Vale Resort; all the items we received were of such high quality. It is really encouraging to see companies donating to toogoodtowaste items that can be re-used by the local communities that we serve.”

Stephanie Metson, marketing manager at the Vale Resort, said: “At the Vale Resort, we engage and support community projects as often as we can and so we are thrilled to give this donation to toogoodtowaste.

“As part of our ongoing investment at the resort we are replacing soft furnishings, but we knew that our beautiful cushions could still be enjoyed by members of our community in their own homes. So by partnering with toogoodtowaste, it enabled us to make sure they could be re-used and redistributed through the charity’s showrooms.”

If you have items that you no longer need but that are too good to waste then contact toogoodtowaste on 01443 680090 as they offer a free collection service for residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf.
