Recognition for the outstanding work we do with volunteers and placements

As the team here at toogoodtowaste largely consists of a wonderful, diverse and committed group of volunteers and placements, we were naturally delighted to find out that we had been shortlisted by one of our placement providers, People Plus for their Learner of the Year awards in the ‘Employer of the Year Category.’

Sharron Griffin, who heads up our Aberdare showroom had a specific mention in the application due to her close working relationship with Belinda Simmons (who nominated us) and the support she provides to the individuals who come into our Aberdare showroom on placement.

The awards ceremony was held at the Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay and a small group of us went along. We had a lovely day which was topped off when we found out that we had won the award.

We would like to say a special thank you to Belinda for the nomination and also to all our fantastic volunteers and placements for their continued and much appreciated support and for making toogoodtowaste such a great place to work.
